Glad To Be In The Family

Watching A Movie, where this teenage girl wasnt the best in school, and was in a culture where she was assumed to be doing something that disgraced her family(sleeping with a boy/dating before marriage), which she wasn't. It cost her dad his job, her brothers girlfriends father broke off their wedding and her father dis- owned her. He told his daughter she would never amount to anything, no one would ever want her etc. Daniel 9:9 To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him; Im glad there is a family where we all have the same father who treats us all equal because He created us all different. The Gift Has Been Given

We have entered into the season of the year when we give gifts and make resolutions(promises) in an attempt to give and to be the perfect "Gifts", in hope that our acts and attempts at Love will be received-n- returned to us.
If we asked God for "Patience", will He give us patience or present situations where we will have to exercise "Patience" while we go through them, if we ask God for "Courage", would He give us courage or present us with opportunities to become "Courageous", if we ask God to be closer as "A Family", would God make us closer or create "Valley's & Mountains", allowing us to share in them, to draw "Families" closer? As we have entered this holiday season, let's not make attempts for the things we are asking God to do in our life, Let's on purpose walk through every situation, opportunity, valley and mountain to receive what we are asking for.      Merry "Christ- Must- Show-Up" Christmas  Pastor P.

Changing Lanes

Im one of those who finds it faster to just stay in the left lane (fast Lane) when trying to get somewhere in a hurry. Everybody knows to speed, keep up with the car in front of them and everybody gets there on time. However every now -n-then someone gets into the fast lane who wants to go the speed limit causing everyone in the fast lane to slow down and "Change Lanes" in order to go around the slow poke and get back on schedule. When Life seems to be slowing down because of sudden changes, Slow Down, Change Lanes and Get Back On Schedule. Thanks Lord I Needed That!

"Growing Plans"

There will always be a fight, a situation, a circumstance, something that will interrupt our natural flow of Life. Some of these situations will be because of our own doing and others because of someone else. But All of them provide the opportunity for God to Grow Us. Greatness is Birthed out of Frustration not Participation. Stop running from your challenges, grow because of them, God has begun a "Growing Plan" for your Life.

There are so many things, some people in our life, stories that have been told, and even rumors that have been believed that we have been willing to act upon regardless of consequences to us or other people. We read horoscopes, our palms and newspapers allowing the information we received to direct our life. Question how can we walk, talk and live out all these other things and still not believe in God. Is it simply because we dont want to Worship Him? Just So You Know, that's not an "Excuse", Romans 1:18-20 msg.

It's In Them

Help My Kid wont clean her room, she text all the time and has an answer for everything! I know I feel this way too sometimes having a teenager and pre-teen in the house.
Today God Told Me Something. While waiting on my son to come out of school me and my daughters were siting in the car. Suddenly we saw 100's of sheets of paper flying all over the street  in peoples grass etc. the junior highers were suppose to be putting them in a paper recycle container but instead made a mess of the street and peoples yards. They were trying to catch the paper it was amusing to watch as we did and laughed. But then the "Scene Changed", my teenage daughter said to us I should go out and help, the car got silent for 30seconds as she proceeded out of the car on to someone elses yard and begin to chase and pick up all this paper, the funny thing is other people who saw her got out they car and helped. I couldnt help because I was in shock, and if you saw her room you would know why. God said to me, you might not see this kind of love or concern all the time, but that which you put in her is in there.
Parents, wait on it, the "Scene Will Change".

Take A Time Out

"Christianity Is A Sport II"As I continue to talk about Jr. today, it's important to understand the importance of A Good Coach Taking A Time Out.  Jr.'s Coach could have waited until the game was over and then told Jr. that he should have taken the shot earlier in the game. Why didn't The Coach tell him then? Why didn't he wait until all Jr.'s mistakes were made and dealt with them all at once? Well think about it. Christ uses the Holy Spirit to coach us, what if the Holy Spirit waited until all our mistakes were made, before He called a "Time Out' in the mist of our situations and to give us instructions on how to get it right the next time.
My Son's coach understands that these guys haven't played on his team before, he also knows that at their age(Babies in basketball) they wont be able to remember the situation as it happened at the end. I know sometimes we wonder why things seem to keep going backwards, one after another, to be honest its not happening like that at all. The Holy Spirit keeps calling 'Time Outs' because God said He wouldn't put more on us then we can handle. So the next time the coach "Takes A Time Out' don't grumble and complain and say it's the ref's faught, listen to His instructions so you can get back into the game.

Get In The Game

"Christianity Is A Sport", 2 games ago my son while playing in a basketball game his team lost had a chance to drive to the basket  for 2points but passed it off to the big man under the basket and the big man missed the ball. Coach told my son during a "Time Out" next time take that shot. Jr. told me after the game and was upset, and I told him, he had done the right thing but you guys have to learn each other. Jr. said, Dad from this point on Im going to take my shots and play the game. In other words when Im on the court, Im going to make sure I do my part first. Need I say his next game, Jr. Got It In. In order to win every player has to play their own position 1st. Part II tomorrow "Take A Time Out"

It's Time To Dress Accordingly"

Do we keep missing our seasons because we wont change with the seasons? Are we busy trying to look like we should look instead of looking like where we are? Example: It might be November, but if it is 75 degrees should you have on a Coat and a skull cap because its November. Example 2; Have your or a friend or someone said they/you,  would be there for you/them but when it came time to deliver they didn't deliver, and you are stuck waiting before you can change seasons. "Its Time To Dress Accordingly".

Ecclesiates 3:1-8 tells us there is a right time for everything and our time can be opposite somebody elses. Even if "WE" have missed seasons already in our life, lets not stay stuck in what we have missed trying to correct the last season, instead lets live in the season God has us in Right Now! If its not their time, doesn't mean its not yours."It's Time To Dress Accordingly".

 

Awesome Timing

God has really been moving this past month. The Word He has been releasing in "The City", the Worship Experience and His willingness to come and open us up to receive has been Awesome. The thing is that it has all come in a season where Ive had a chance to quit, faint or do something totally STUPID. But Gods Grace has been more then Sufficient. I have come to understand, when things are there craziest, it is Gods opportunity to get crazier, His Timing might not be when we want it, But He is Always in His Timing.

When Things Change

For some reason I couldn't get into my account to Blog yesterday or this morning. I called someone and they spent 30 minutes (at least) trying to help me, they got in but I still couldn't Blog, but could see what I had already Blogged in previous weeks. I became frustrated and was ready to just say forget it. See my past Blogs(Relationship, Experience, Thoughts, Beliefs) were not going to help me with what I needed to Blog today or in the future.

Then I went to check My email in another account I have, and behold that account took me right to my Blog, thus you are reading me today. Why I had been able to access my Blog through one email account (The Wrong One) for weeks and for the past few days it needed me to access the account which was used to set it up(The Plan), I have No Idea, But!!! Don't Just Stay Frustrated, "Change Something", God might be telling  "You" as He told "Me", get back to the original plan and stop settling for frustrating "Second Best".  Pastor P.

Second Wind

I was listening to a friend of mine preach a sermon about family and unity and remembering where we've come from so we can be strengthen to finish what God has gotten started. It was all good and then he used the term "Second Wind" and Blessed Me. Revelation: Its not time to quit just because we have been trying and havent reached our goal, It's Time for Our "Second Wind".

More Time

If you have said to yourself, if I just had more time I would get this done or I would have finished what I started. Actually in 6 months when we spring forward you probably will say the same thing. Its not more "natural" time that we need. Its A "Vision" to do "More" with the "Time" We Already Have! Then God can "Spiritually Redeem The Time"(allow more to prosper) in the time we have already been given.

Bad Company

1 Corinthians 15:33
Do not be deceived, Evil Company corrupts good character/habits. Paul in this text was speaking about those who were denying Christ rose and those who were suppose to be believers but were listening to those denying Christ Resurrection. Then in verse 34b Paul tells the suppose to be believers, "some of you are not even Christians at all and have never really known God. Are people & practices keeping us from knowing God and believing Christ Resurrection?

Enjoying Nature

Every now and then the beauty of green grass and leaves on a tree, the sound of water moving down stream, even the dawning of a new day or the sun setting in a day that is passing allows me to enjoy and appreciate to power in the nature God has created. Today Im reminded that His Divine Nature God allows me to share with Him has given me a power within that can allow me to receive every promise God has placed on My Life, Are You Enjoying Nature? 2Peter 1:3-4

Go Into The Light

When you see light at the end of the tunnel, does that mean the wait is over? Nope!, the light only shows us it's time to Praise because the evidence has manifest, revealing to us what we heard from God is correct. Don't Quit before you receive the Blessing. So many times we've gotten so excited because of the confirmation that we stop moving forward, stop asking God and forget there is more to the Blessing. Confirmation that something is true, never is what brings it to past, We Have to Go Into The Light.

Who Will Make The Decision, You or Them?

One Way or another everybody chooses who or what will drive our life. How has your Driver been doing so far?

Write The Book

Today we have all kinds of rules and regulations in the world the influence our children. On the flip side of that we have even given ourselves rules and regulations for governing our kids. If I am a single parent then working and providing food and clothes are enough, If my baby mama be tripping then I will see my children when they are grown, they will understand. While we are finding ways to not suffer over broken relationships and baby mistakes Our Children may be in the mist of craziness. We are turning the pages in the "Books of Life"  they are reading to decide how they will live. Write the Book, if they are adult children its not to late, every good story has a sequel "Write The Book II", the end can be what we expect. Pastor P.

Life Up!

When Things in your life began to feel common(HoHum), Its time to take that thing to the Next Level. A "Thing" can be a person, place or routine. Don't increase your friends, spend more time in the same places or change routines,  that might not do the trick. Today I want to suggest you try doing what you already do "Better". Life Up!

Halloween Candy, Christmas Toys and Easter Dress Up

I think it will always come back to what a child receives before and after trick or treating,
the story (if any) they learn about Christmas and the life lived in the house after Easter. It will never
comes down to one event/moment/mistake. A game is never lost because of a missed shot in the last
second, teachers cant raise our children for us during the six hour window they are suppose to be teaching and love is not proven at 1st sight. Our children are in the world (TV, Videos, Music, Movies, Friends, Cell Phones and the above), it is up to us to make sure they learn how NOT to be of it.

Why Not God?

It is interesting how we can take the bible(Christianity), read it and then divide it up to make it fit our comfort zone and call it some other form of religion. We will never get through life by ourselves.

Glad it Friday, watching some TV, is that Ne-Yo playing a Prof. Hitman on CSI: NY. Nice!

Pretty excited about my son making his 1st school basketball team. That boy has some skills. look out D. Rose, he is looking forward to having you show him how to lead the Bulls.

I Hear You!

Sometimes I say things to people and watch them do the opposite of what I just said. I think to myself, didn't they hear me? And what should I do now that they have gotten my instructions all wrong?
Mandisa wrote a song "God Speaking" in short its says God knows how to get our attention and He can use anything and everything to speak to us. Today let's listen through everything thats happens in our life today so we can tell God, "I Hear You" and be prepared for tomorrow.
